Jira Integration

How to set up a Jira integration.

You orchestrate violation tickets to your Jira account within the Secberus platform with our Jira Integration. Follow these steps to complete the setup.

Jira OAuth

Create Jira OAuth 2.0 integration

  1. Go to the Jira developer console.
  2. Click on Create > OAuth 2.0 integration.
  3. Give your app a meaningful name, i.e. Secberus integration. Agree to the terms and click Create.
  4. For your app, click on Permissions on the left-hand menu.
  5. Within Jira API, click on the Add action. Then click on Config.
  6. Click on Edit scopes for Jira platform REST API.
  7. Select the read:jira-work and write:jira-work permissions and click Save.
  8. On the left-hand menu, click on Authorization.
  9. Click on the Add action for the OAuth 2.0 (3LO) authorization type. In the Callback URL field, enter https://api.secberus.io/v1/callbacks/verification/jira.
  10. On the left-hand menu, click on Settings.
  11. Take note of the Client ID and the Secret that we will need to provide in the Secberus Dashboard.

In Secberus

  1. Navigate to the Settings -> Integrations page of the Secberus platform and select Jira.
  2. Populate the all the fields. The Client ID and Client Secret should be the values from your app's settings in step 11.
  3. To verify and authorize the OAuth integration, click on the Verify.
  4. Click on the authorization link. In the new Atlassian screen, click Accept

Your Jira integration is complete!

You can now create workflows to orchestrate violation alerts within the Workflow tab on the Secberus platform.
