Steps to setup a PagerDuty Integration

Secberus uses PagerDuty's Service and Events Integration to create new violation incidents on a customers' PagerDuty instance.

PagerDuty Configuration

Create PagerDuty App Registration Integration

  1. Search for Integrations > App Integration
  2. Click on + New App
    1. Give the app a relevant name, i.e. Secberus Integration, and a description, i.e Incoming Secberus Violations.
    2. Under Functionality, click on Events Integration
    3. Click Next
  3. We can leave Transform Event Data and Send Change Events to No. Click Register App.

Create PagerDuty Service

  1. Go to the Service Directory
  2. Click on + New Service
    1. Give the service a relevant Name, i.e. Secberus and optional description
    2. On the Assign page, select your desired escalation policy
    3. On the Reduce Noise page, select your desired Noise reduction settings
    4. On the Integrations page, search for and select the app registration integration you created
    5. Click Create Service
  3. Within the Integrations tab of your new service, you will see an Integration Key. Secberus will use this key as the routing_key when sending events to your Integration URL.

Secberus Configuration

  1. While on the Secberus Dashboard for the organization you want to create the integration in, go to Settings > Integrations page.
  2. Under Create new integrations, click on the Pager Duty tile.
    1. Give your integration a relevant name
    2. In the Routing Key field, provide the Integration Key from the PagerDuty Service you created.
    3. Click Save
  3. Secberus will send a test alert to your PagerDuty instance to validate the integration.

PagerDuty integration is now complete!

You can create workflows to your PagerDuty integration under the "Workflows" tab on the Secberus platform.
